The petition made by Seemandhra ministers to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar seeking security to them within the House on Thursday, the last day of debate on Telangana bill, raised many an eyebrow.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi deputy floor leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday condemned the Seemandhra ministers for stating that they fear attack by pro-Telangana activists.
Harish Rao said that the Seemandhra ministers were trying to project the Telangana activists in a bad light.
He said that the entire Telangana movement was peaceful and the activists never indulged in any kind of violence.
However, by expressing fears, the Seemandhra leaders were trying to project the pro-Telangana people as violent. He said such a move would send a wrong message among the people.
Earlier, Harish submitted a 65-page memorandum and a 25-minute duration CD to Speaker Nadendla Manohar on the provocative statements made by Seemandhra legislators.
He requested the Speaker to forward the memorandum and CD to the President for action.
