The Telangana Telugu Desam legislators on Thursday staged a dharna outside the chamber of Principal Secretary Energy S.K. Joshi at the Secretariat protesting against the failure of the Telangana government on the power front.
The TDP legislators, accompanied by party activists squatted in the corridor on being told that the Energy Secretary had left for a meeting outside though they had taken his prior appointment. Though the appointment was fixed for 11.30 am, the TDP leaders turned up at 12.15 pm. When Joshi was not there in his chamber, the TDP leaders staged dharna for over an hour and left.
Curiously, the TDP legislators had heated exchanges with the media personnel when they shot some questions. An angry Revanth Reddy snubbed the mediapersons by saying they were behaving like political activists of the TRS.
Errabelli Dayakar Rao demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao convene an all-party meeting to discuss the power problem.
