Sajjala feeling insecure about his position?

YSR Congress party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who has been made the state coordinator of the party, is said to be feeling terribly insecure about his position in the party following a series of complaints against him to party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy from various quarters.

Sajjala, who has once projected himself as No. 2 in the party, has been virtually sidelined in the party now, though he is still being considered part of Jagan’s coterie.

At present, he is looking after the party’s affiliated organisations but has not been given any powers to take any important decisions.

Sources said this has made Sajjala insecure about his position in the party and he is said to be apprehensive that he might have to face the same fate of Vijay Sai Reddy in the coming days.

“It is evident from the way he is suspecting every leader in the party, who believes is moving closer to Jagan,” sources said.

The other day, Sajjala is learnt to have shouted at Alla Mohan Sai Dutt, who Jagan had appointed as his advisor to look after the party organisation, six months ago. Since then, Sai Dutt has been the eyes and ears of Jagan in the party organisation.

This has apparently angered Sajjala, who has felt Sai Dutt has emerged as a hurdle for him in becoming a power centre in the party.

At a meeting of the party’s organisational wings recently, Sajjala reportedly shouted at Sai Dutt for creating hurdles for him in the organisational appointments.

He reportedly told the advisor not to interfere in the organisational matters and that he would appoint whoever he wants in and whatever position he needs.

“Keep yourself away from interfering in my functioning,” Sajjala reportedly told Sai Dutt.

Sources said Sajjala, being the state coordinator of the party, was asked to discuss with senior minister Botsa Satyanarayana on the appointment of former MLA Kuralasala Kannababu as the regional coordinator of north Andhra districts.

“But he deliberately did not discuss with Botsa before Kannababu’s appointment, leading to a sort of discontent in Botsa. Ultimately, he had to accept Jagan’s decision, but it clearly exposed Sajjala’s insecurity,” sources said.
