Minister for Infrastructure Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Friday said it would be suicidal for the Congress high command if it wants to sack Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy from the post for opposing the State bifurcation.
Talking to the media, he said he did not think the Congress party would not commit another mistake by changing the Chief Minister.
“Kiran Kumar Reddy would continue in the post till 2014 elections and the Centre will have no option but to accept his argument and stop the bifurcation process,” he said.
Reacting on the reports that the central government would move Telangana bill in the winter session of parliament, Ganta said whether it would be tabled in the Parliament or the State assembly, Seemandhra public representatives would oppose it vehemently. He expressed the hope that the process of bifurcation would be stopped at one stage somehow.
