Congress MPs from Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh on Monday called on AICC President Sonia Gandhi and complained against Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his continued and open defiance of the party decision on the Telangana issue and demanded his immediate dismissal.
The Telangana Congress MPs met Sonia in the Central Hall of and conveyed their best wishes on her birthday.
Taking the opportunity, the MPs brought to her notice the speech of the Chief Minister at a function in Vijayawada on Saturday where in he had launched a tirade against the Congress leadership for deciding to bifurcate the state and also had declared that he would ensure the defeat of the Telangana Bill in the Assembly.
The MPs appealed to the AICC President to immediately sack the Chief Minister and also ensure that there would be no further delay in the formation of Telangana State.
