Rules Thrown To The Winds!

That all kinds of rules are being violated by the administration in its obsession to acquire land for the new capital is public knowledge, yet Naidu marches on unchallenged!

The process of lease amount disbursement began on Monday at Nelapadu village of Tulluru mandal in the capital city area.

The CRDA released Rs 33 lakh for disbursement to about 50 farmers, who gave their consent for 113 acres. Immediately, after the disbursement, the land leveling works started.

According to the rules, the compensation to the farmers cannot be released until the verification of the documents submitted by them is over.

In this case, the money was given even before verification was done. Incidentally, the village is a TDP stronghold with most of the farmers hailing from Naidu’s community.

“There is extreme pressure from the government to clear the files pertaining to release of compensation even before verification is over,” said one official.

The action could well have been prompted by favoritism or else the government is worried at growing instances of farmers asking for their consent letters to be returned.
