The idea of installing NTR’s statue in Rajamundry has become controversial. Chandra Babu Naidu wanted to install NTR statue in the space between two bridges in keeping with his most popular image of Lord Krishna.
But the all-party meeting decided that such a move would be made as it would hurt the sentiments of public. Also, some members felt that Chandra Babu had nothing to do with Rajamundry.
In the past, there was one proposal that NTR’s statue should be installed in Krishna district where he was born. Since it is the new capital city, there wouldn’t be much opposition if it is installed there.
The other option is to set up in a place where there wouldn’t be any controversy in Rajamundry. It remains to be seen what the TDP government would do next.
