The primary reason why the Modi government is not too keen on an alliance with the TRS is said to be the disenchantment of the entire Sangh Parivar with the dramatics of Kavitha, daughter of KCR.
One of the conditions put forward by KCR was that his darling daughter should be made a Union Minister.
Now it is public knowledge that Kavitha immediately after becoming an MP had in an interview to an English newspaper made some remarks that shocked the nation.
“We (Telangana) along with Kashmir were a separate nation and leading a peaceful existence until we were forcibly inducted into the India Union. Our problems have started since then,” she said.
Adding fuel to fire she also called for the boundaries of India to be redrawn saying that India needed to accept some realities on Kashmir.
“Parts of Kashmir do not belong to us. We would be better off accepting this and utilizing the money spent on our borders for economic development,” she said.
Later, in Parliament, she gave a speech questioning the government on the steps taken to rehabilitate the Kashmiri Pandits. Naturally, all these statements did not go down well with the top brass of the ‘Sangh Parivar’.
