The media reports that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is going to stay in Hotel Park Hyatt along with his family members for a period of at least three months has created a lot of sensation in the political circles.
According to the reports, Naidu has chosen to stay in the star hotel along with wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani and grandson Devansh till the repairs to his Jubilee Hills house are completed.
The hotel has residential blocks on the top floors. It is learnt even music director S S Thaman also stays in one of the blocks.
Sources say the AP government may have to shell down Rs 1 lakh per day on the accommodation for Naidu; which comes to around Rs 3 crore for three months. This will go up sharply, if one includes taxes, food and other expenses.
Already, the government is spending a lot on the camp offices of Naidu at Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Velagapudi. And this is going to be additional burden.
Can Naidu afford it at a time when the state is in financial crisis?
