It looks like glamorous actress-turned-YSR Congress party leader R Roja has become a matured politician by now. She is speaking in a more polished and matured manner, while tackling her political rivals.
On Tuesday, there was an interesting war of words between Roja and Telugu Desam Party MP C M Ramesh while participating in a television debate over municipal and local body poll results. Ramesh tried to heckle Roja saying her party was confined to just three or four districts and was much below the TDP.
A cool and quiet Roja retorted: “Sir, yours is the 30-year old party and you have a strong cadre base at all levels. Ours is not even three years old and we are yet to build up our organisation. How can you feel so rejoiced over getting a few seats more than our party in the municipal polls, held more than a month ago? It is true that YSRC could not get more seats in municipal polls, but has now put up a better performance in local body polls held a week later. And we will definitely fare far better in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections held a month later,” she replied.
Ramesh had to keep his mouth shut!
