Road Route To Amaravathi Not Safe For KCR!

Road Route To Amaravathi Not Safe For KCR!

A day after AP CM Chandrababu Naidu invited his Telangana counterpart KCR for foundation laying ceremony of AP's new capital Amaravati on October 22, the AP administrations sprung into action to make arrangements for smooth and safe visit of KCR in the wake of intelligence reports that there are possibilities of agitations in Andhra by some sections against the visit of KCR.

The intelligence agencies warned AP government of possible attack on KCR or on his convoy during his trip by road from Suryapet in Nalgonda.

The TS Chief Minister's Office sought route-map for KCR's visit. In response, the AP CMO advised KCR to take helicopter instead of travelling by road on safety grounds.

The AP government has again offered to provide helicopter to KCR from Suryapet to Gannavaram airport and again from Gannavaram airport to Amaravati ceremony site.

It may be recalled that KCR refused to take helicopter from Suryapet when AP CM Naidu offered the same when he visited KCR's camp office to extend Amaravati invitation to him on Sunday.

However, in the wake of intelligence reports on security concerns, it is believed that KCR is in second thoughts over taking road route and instead opt for helicopter as proposed by Naidu.

Even the Telangana intelligence and security agencies have warned KCR against taking road route to Amaravathi saying that some sections in Andhra are against KCR visiting Andhra who is responsible for bifurcation of state and Andhraites losing capital city Hyderabad and forced to build a new capital from the scratch.

They say these regional emotions may flare up once they see KCR's convoy moving around and it is not safe for him.
