Till a couple of weeks ago, Vemuri Radha Krishna, chairman and managing director of popular media group Andhra Jyothy, had been strongly pitching for the victory of Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the ongoing elections.
In his weekly column, Radha Krishna had been categorically saying that KCR had a clear edge over the Maha Kootami as the partners of the alliance were struggling to finalise the seat sharing deal.
He analysed that lack of proper leadership in the Congress party, its failure to take on the mighty TRS and its president K Chandrasekhar Rao and above all, the welfare schemes of the chief minister would definitely give a huge advantage to KCR.
In one of his columns, Radha Krishna even predicted that the TRS would win not less than 80 assembly seats, if not 100 as claimed by KCR. Both Andhra Jyothy and its channel ABN-Andhra Jyothy have been giving extensive coverage to KCR’s electioneering, while pushing the Maha Kootami stories to the inside pages.
But this week, Radha Krishna changed his tune suddenly. In his surprising analysis, he declared that the earth under the car is crumbling and TRS is facing a crisis situation.
And he explained how Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s entry has changed the entire scenario in Telangana.
He started questioning KCR’s stand of raising the Telangana self-respect issue by attacking Chandrababu Naidu.
Well, that is Radha Krishna. If he thinks the wave is drifting other ways, he can quickly change his colours and stand. Better Radha Krishna join politics!
