While it would seem natural for them to align with Revanth Reddy of the Congress, they hesitate to do so.
Despite the community connection, their strong conviction that Revanth Reddy is Chandrababu Naidu's "B-Team" keeps them from becoming his supporters.
Many Reddies in Telangana believe that it's preferable to return to KCR's rule than risk placing the state under Chandrababu Naidu's influence by electing Revanth Reddy.
Conversely, the majority of settlers from various communities in Hyderabad, including Reddys (excluding Kammas from AP), are loyal to the BRS.
In Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana, most Kamma voters support Revanth Reddy due to his association with Chandrababu Naidu.
Nevertheless, some Kamma voters in the state hope for Telangana to be led by Revanth Reddy, essentially putting it under Chandrababu Naidu's control by default.
Revanth Reddy himself has contributed to this perception with some of his unintelligent statements.
Recently, when asked to comment on CBN's arrest, he remained silent initially. However, recently, he criticized KTR's remarks regarding the protests against CBN's arrest in Hyderabad.
Revanth asserted that any citizen has the freedom to protest on any issue, and KTR cannot object anyone who protests against the arrest of CBN.
This once again reinforced the perception that Revanth Reddy is aligned with Chandrababu Naidu's interests.
