Revanth picks up cue from Lokesh on red book!

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy, who is dreaming of coming to power in Telangana in the coming assembly elections, seems to have taken a cue from his former boss N Chandrababu Naidu’s son and Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, who is also nurturing the ambition of coming to power in Andhra Pradesh.

All through his ongoing Yuva Galam padayatra, Lokesh has been carrying a red-coloured book and displaying the same at his public speeches.

He is claiming that he is recording the names of officials, particularly the police, who are toeing the line of the ruling YSR Congress and harassing the TDP leaders and workers.

While flaunting the Red Book at the meetings, Lokesh is saying that all those whose names are being recorded in the Red Book would have to pay a heavy price once the TDP comes to power in the 2024 elections. He specifically mentioned the name of Chittoor SP Rishant Reddy at his speech.

He said even the names of the YSRC leaders who are creating violence at the TDP meetings and intimidating them and said they would be dealt with severely once the TD comes to power.

Now, this Red Book of Lokesh seems to have impressed Revanth Reddy so much that even he started threatening the police officials saying their names would be recorded in the Red Book for dancing to the tunes of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi government.

Addressing the party workers at Gandhi Bhavan a couple of days ago, the PCC chief alleged that the Mahabubnagar police were booking false cases against the Congress activists.

He said names of senior officers were being listed in a ‘Red Diary’ and that when the Congress government came to power, these officers would be “disrobed and thrashed black and blue.”

Just like Lokesh received flak from the police officers’ association of Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana PCC chief too incurred the wrath of the Telangana police.

Cases were booked under different sections of the Indian Penal Code at several police stations across the state against the PCC chief.

Stating that the Telangana police worked as per law and judicial orders, they asked Revanth Reddy to desist from criticizing the police and making objectionable comments.
