TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, an accused in the alleged Cash-for-Vote scam has abstained from attending the ACB Court here on Monday.
Reason: He claimed that the High Court had ordered him not to move out his own constituency, Kodangal, during his bail period. Revanth Reddy’s Counsel submitted memos to the ACB Court in this regard.
It may be recalled that the High Court had granted conditional bail to Revanth Reddy, Sebastian and Udaysimha in the Cash-for-Vote case.
The Court ordered Revanth Reddy to confine to his constituency. The Court also detained the three accused persons’ passports.
Responding to Revanth Reddy Councel’s argument, the ACB authorities expressed their anger and ordered him to attend the trail on August 3 at any cost.
The ACB Court made it clear that Revanth Reddy has to attend the trail. On the other hand, the other accused in the case Sebastian and Udaysimha attended the Court.
