Reddy Steps Up Attack On KCR

Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy seems to have decided to take Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao head on, as part of his party’s strategy to strengthen its base in the new State.

Kishan is not losing any opportunity to attack KCR. On Tuesday, he condemned “misinformation campaign” by the Chief Minister and his party leaders on the issue of delegation of special powers to the Governor on law and order in joint capital of Hyderabad.

The AP Reorganisation Act 2014 had clearly mentioned that the Governor shall have special responsibility for the security of life, liberty and property of all those who reside in Hyderabad.

The Union Home Ministry is simply executing the Act, which has been passed by Parliament and even KCR was also present in the House when he was member of the Lok Sabha, he added.

Referring to reported statement of KCR that he would launch an agitation with the support of Chief Ministers of other States against the Centre’s move to entrust special powers to the Governor, Kishan Reddy said he is also writing letters to all the 29 chief ministers explaining the fact of the AP Reorganisation Act and about “propaganda” launched by the TRS government.

Kishan Reddy said the Telangana CM is trying to blame the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as if that party had changed the Act.

“KCR is deliberately raking up the non-issue and nobody has authority to amend the Act except Parliament. He suggested to the Telangana Chief Minister to approach the political parties and their MPs if he wanted amendments to the Act passed by both the Houses of Parliament.
