With the election season fast approaching, many bigshots are pulling all strings possible to get party tickets for contesting.
One such candidate was PVP Prasad who thought to get the Vijayawada MP ticket on behalf of YSRCP. However, he made an exit from his thought and here is the real reason behind it.
The basic trend in the belt of Krishna district is that the Kamma vote bank has been strong loyalists of TDP, the others such as BCs, SC, ST etc have stuck to Congress.
Except Kodali Nani who has the strong hold in Gudivada assembly region who is representing entire krishna district, there is no other Kamma contestant from the region from YSRCP.
While this is the case, PVP also aimed at positioning the candidates of his community at the assembly regions those come under Vijayawada parliament area.
So, when a new candidate stands up, the public tend to look at his caste and vote accordingly. In the case of Prasad, he is a newbie with no credentials in those regions.
With Kamma votes going towards TDP and other community votes going towards Congress, YSRCP is looking at having a candidate with BCs, Kapus backdrop to have a worthy contest.
Understanding this phenomenon, PVP exited from his idea of contesting from YSRCP.
