Telangana CM KCR has recently said that he will not tolerate corrupt officials and practices.
As a follow up, he also gave a number so that the public can call in to report any corrupt officer.
So, in a bid to do their bit, a reporter of an English daily called the number to see if the number was really helpful.
Much to his dismay, he found out that the number was not working. When he reported the same to a TRS leader, the said leader also tried calling the number, only to be told that the number was not working. Finally, the reporter could not get the leader to resolve the issue.
Given this scenario, senior Congress leader Mahendra Reddy opined that while fighting corruption was a noble thought, it was more important to fight political corruption.
We think KCR should have got the number checked by his officers before announcing it publicly. Of course, minor glitches are common, but when the incident involves a CM, then many questions are bound to be raised.
