The TDP government is going all out in its efforts at targeting the opposition YSRCP MLA's. The Tirupati Railway Police on Monday arrested Chandragiri Legislator Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. Do you know the reason?
It was in connection with a Samaikhyandhra Agitation case, which was registered in 2009.
According to the FIR, more than 500 agitators, including Bhaskar Reddy, had entered the Tirupati railway station on December 11, 2009, in a bid to hold ‘rail roko’ as part of the Samaikhyandhra agitation.
They were accused of “trespassing” and squatting on the second track between platforms No. 1 and 2, thereby delaying the Sapthagiri Express (Train No. 6054) for more than half-an-hour. There was no loss of life or property! Besides, ‘Samaikhyandhra agitation’ was for the Andhras. It was for the welfare of the Andhras. This is highly ridiculous on the part of TDP!
Couldn’t they dig up anything better? They give a letter in support of Telangana and now they are arresting people who opposed Telangana. They are the true betrayers of Andhras.
And why Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy? Because, Chevireddy became the first Reddy candidate to win the Kamma-dominated constituency of Chandragiri, 36 years after Mr. Chandrababu Naidu won his maiden election here in 1978.
Not only did he successfully pitch the party flag in the home segment of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, but also defeated the two-time minister Galla Aruna kumari.
