Controversial Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and firebrand leader T Raja Singh has hinted at resigning from the party, stating that he is terribly upset with the attitude to the leadership for sidelining him.
In a statement on Friday, Raja Singh, who represents Goshamahal constituency, expressed dissatisfaction over the party leadership, saying that he is unable to tolerate the harassment he is facing.
“If the party tells me I am no longer needed, I will resign immediately. I am ready to leave the BJP. Unlike some individuals in the party, I do not engage in brokerage or middleman activities," the MLA said.
Raja Singh further expressed his frustration over the recent appointment of the Golconda district BJP president. “I suggested that the position should be given to a BC (Backward Caste) or SC (Scheduled Caste) leader, but instead, they appointed someone who has close ties with the AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) party,” he alleged.
He said when he called a key leader to ask why this decision was made, he had received a dismissive response from the party.
Raja Singh warned that he is already fighting against the Congress and stated that if his demand to replace the Golconda district BJP president with his recommended candidate is not met, he will resign from the party immediately.
