No doubt, Pawan Kalyan is an angry young man. No doubt, he is struggling in his own way to get recognition as a politician.
No doubt, the denial of special category status has angered him. No doubt, he tried to put forth his view point against the injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation.
But the question is whether he is questioning the people who are ought to be questioned; why he spared some and attacked others.
By and large, Pawan skirted several issues that should have been raised at his Kakinada public meeting on Friday. Whether he did it deliberately or out of ignorance is still a surprise.
Here are a few questions Pawan should have asked at his public meeting:
1. What is Special Category Status and why is it needed for the state?
2. What is there and what is not there in the package? Why is it a stale laddu?
3. Why did Chandrababu Naidu accept the package? What is the secret deal behind it?
4. When the entire state is demanding for special status, where is the need for Naidu to compromise on the package?
5. Why did Naidu mortgage the self-respect of Andhra people (since the meeting is named as Seemandhra Atma Gourava Sabha)
6. Why are Telugu Desam Party MPs still clinging to NDA? Why don’t they resign to show that they have self-respect?
7. Is Chandrababu Naidu scared of scams in Amaravati construction? If not so, why is he satisfied with just Rs 3,500 crore Central assistance for capital construction?
8. Why is Narendra Modi so apathetical towards Andhra Pradesh? Why did he humiliate the people of Andhra? Is he worried about shifting of industries from Gujarat to AP, if special status is given?
It is pretty evident that Pawan was still going soft on Naidu and Modi. Since there is no harm in targeting Venkaiah Naidu from BJP and Avanti Srinivas from TDP, he did it just to play for the galleries. Otherwise, the entire speech of the power star was just hollow.
