Prof Kodandaram is a household name in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for different reasons. In Telangana, he is respected for being at the forefront of the agitation. People of Andhra Pradesh hate him!
Despite being a Professor himself, Kodandaram instigated the students of Osmania University to manhandle the lecturers from Seemandhra who were in Hyderabad for valuation purposes.
Emboldened by the success of this incident, he became a major force in Telangana emerging as a parallel structure to KCR until his wings were finally clipped by the latter post-bifurcation!
Now he is something of a non-entity in the politics of Telangana. In fact, there was speculation that Kodandaram was not eligible for being a Professor or something of that sort, but he was made one by YS Rajasekhar Reddy to curb the former’s role in the agitation.
During the period of the agitation and post-bifurcation, has Kodandaram taken even a single class? No, but he continues to draw his salary without fail! After bifurcation, has he gone back to teaching? Absolutely not!
Dear Kodandaram, ‘Bangaru Telangana, ‘Vendi Telangana’ or ‘Ittadi Telangana’ will be possible only if everyone does his duty!
Go back to teaching and thereby do your bit for your State instead of prowling around the Secretariat or participating in useless functions and events.
