With Governor E S L Narasimhan taking over the reins of the state under President’s Rule, there has been pressure on him to review files cleared by former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the last few months.
Senior Telangana Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao today demanded an inquiry into the “hurried” clearance of files piled up for two months by Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said he had called on the Governor and appealed to him to take necessary action in this regard.
He accused Kiran Kumar Reddy of ‘amassing’ wealth by signing files before quitting as Chief Minister.
It was unfortunate that Kiran defied the Congress high command on bifurcation and put all sorts of hurdles, he said, adding that the Centre carved out Telangana State as promised. VH hoped that an inquiry will reveal the extent of money swindled by Kiran Kumar Reddy.
