In neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, there is a cold war of sorts within the BJP. Though there is unity as far as party policies and functioning style is concerned, the party now has two informal groups based on how they look at their poll ally TDP.
Talk is that while one group feels that TDP's style of functioning in Andhra Pradesh is appropriate and in keeping with the interests of the people, the other group is not pro-TDP.
While nothing is out officially, nevertheless, it is said that those supporting TDP include Raghunath Babu, Ramesh Naidu, Sudeesh Rambotla, Bhanuprakash Reddy, Kamineni Srinivas, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Vellampalli Srinivas, Vishunu Kumar Raju, Akula Satyanarayana, Raghuram.
The other side includes Somu Verraju, Suresh Reddy, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Manikyala Rao, Shanta Reddy, Haranath Reddy, Anjaneya Reddy, Parthasarathy, Ramakotayya and others.
In fact, the situation has come to the extent where some of the BJP leaders have been making statements as per their affinity, say party insiders.
