Prez Raises Hopes Of Seemandhra Leaders

The arrival of President of India Pranab Mukherjee to Hyderabad on Monday has raised hopes of Seemandhra leaders, who are of the view that he would understand the ground realities in the State.

A delegation of Telugu Desam Party leaders comprising MPs, MLAs and other senior leaders would meet the President in the afternoon and submit a memorandum on the issues concerning the State.

According to sources, besides the State's bifurcation issue which caused instability in the State, the TDP leaders would submit separate memorandum on the failure of the State Government in extending assistance to those affected with the Phailin cyclone and recent heavy rains.

In the evening, YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will meet Pranab. He would also submit a memorandum to the President over the devastations caused due to recent heavy rains in the State, besides seeking his intervention in stalling Telangana process.
