President To Stop Formation Of Telangana?

The process for the formation of Telangana state has begun and UPA government is heading stubbornly without respecting the sentiments of the Seemandhra people.

As a result, the agitation and the protests have taken a violent shape. Meanwhile, AP Congress incharge Digvijay Singh gave a statement yesterday.

He has reportedly revealed that the cabinet note would be going to the president Pranab Mukherjee once he is back from his foreign trip and this would be passed to the Assembly and then back to the President irrespective of whether it gets defeated or voted in assembly. Then the president would forward it to the parliament.

But now, sources from Delhi reveal things might stop at Rashtrapathi Bhavan itself. The President is the first citizen of India and not even the parliament can oppose his decision.

Looking at the current situation, Pranab who has a much wider knowledge of these issues is expected to hold the decision and decline it possibly.

If that happens then calm will be restored in Seemandhra for sure. At the same time, Congress can wash their hands pointing the finger towards the President and can convince the Telangana region about their efforts and hardwork but how that didn’t work.

Well, this strategy sure looks rational and if they implement it, the congress has some chance to regain their position in AP when 2014 polls take place.
