Politicians have a lot of superstitions, perhaps more than film personalities. We often see political leaders performing homams, japams and prayers, besides strictly following muhurtams for every programme.
While Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao does not lose any opportunity to preform Yagams, his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu strictly goes by muhurtams and Vasthus.
So, it is nothing but natural that their ministers, too, follow these superstitions. One of the ministers in the KCR cabinet had performed yagams and worships in a big way for four days. All these prayers were apparently aimed at appeasing Goddess Lakshmi, the sole head of money department in the heaven.
So, the minister was praying for more opportunities to make money. Unfortunately, even as he was performing the yagams and worships, he has lost a key department that has a lot of scope for making money, during the minor reshuffle of portfolios done by KCR. This department has now been given to another key minister.
Poor minister, the prayers did not work out for him!
