KCR will be appointing a ‘Working President’ for the TRS Party tomorrow and the contenders are KCR’s son, KTR and his nephew, Harish Rao.
Senior leaders of the TRS are said to be in favor of KTR whereas Harish Rao is widely acknowledged as a more capable candidate.
If KCR wishes KTR to take over the TRS Party in future, then the post of ‘Working President’ is an opportune moment to groom KTR as his political heir. On the other hand, many political analysts opine that Harish Rao is a natural choice for the post and if he is sidelined now despite his capabilities, then he can create havoc as he has a huge support base.
In fact, Rajaiah was believed to have been sacked as he was extremely close to Harish Rao, something that KCR didn’t approve of. The situation is a bit like the one in the movie ‘Prasthanam’. KCR is Sai Kumar, KTR is Sundeep Kishen and Harish Rao is Sharwanand.
