The Telangana Rashtra Samithi government is trying to wriggle out of the embarrassing situation caused by acute power crisis in the State, by throwing the blame on the previous governments for the situation.
Appealing to the farmers to understand about the acute power shortage situation in Telangana and display restraint, Telangana Education Minister Jagadish Reddy on Monday urged the tillers not to raid the power sub-stations.
Jagadish Reddy said the farming community was facing the unprecedented power crisis due to the criminal negligence of the previous governments towards Telangana.
Without realising the facts, the Congress leaders were talking like jokers, he added. He also made it clear that the KCR government would definitely solve the power crisis at the earliest by procuring power from the neighbouring Chattisgarh government after laying special power lines for the purpose.
Admitting that the farmers were facing hardships due to monsoon failure, the minister said the KCR government would try to make the farmers to switch over to alternative crops and solve the situation.
He also declared that his government would sincerely implement welfare programs which were not incorporated in the party manifesto.
