There is an argument that the government is using the arrest of former YSRCP leader, film writer, and actor Posani Krishna Murali to accomplish other objectives.
Alliance leaders claim that Posani’s statements and confessions after his arrest, paved way for the arrest of former government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son, Sajjala Bhargav—who served as the YSRCP’s social media head.
If the government targets them, it is evident what kind of cases might be registered against them.
In this context, it has been revealed that during police interrogation, Posani admitted to making obscene and provocative comments during press meets and speeches.
According to official reports, Posani also stated that Sajjala Bhargav used to make viral videos of his controversial remarks on social media. Notably, Posani signed a criminal confession to this effect.
This confession has now become a weapon for the coalition government, which is determined to arrest Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son, Bhargav Reddy.
Sajjala Bhargav is already out on anticipatory bail in connection with objectionable posts on social media.
There is speculation that another case related to Posani may further implicate the father-son duo. Given the circumstances, it has become crucial for them to explore legal options to avoid arrest.
In any case, it remains to be seen whether the government will fulfill its promise to take action against Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son.
But some believe that Sajjala has managed to reach an understanding with TDP leaders long back. That is why the key figure has not been arrested, while only smaller players have been targeted so far.
Another source claims that while Sajjala Bhargav will certainly be arrested to pacify a section, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy might escape due to the connections he has established within the TDP.
