There is a movie of Ravi Teja in which Rajendra Prasad asks the hero, “What is your goal in life?” Much to the delight of the audience, Ravi Teja responds, “My goal in life is to not have any goal.”
That pretty much seems to be the policy of TRS when it comes to taking a ‘stand’ on important issues.
Although Kavitha, the daughter of KCR feels that Telangana was a separate nation forcibly inducted into the Indian Union and that Telanganites are not Indians by ‘choice’, it has not prevented her dad from suspending ten members of the TDP from the Assembly for the remaining sessions citing disrespect to the ‘National Anthem’.
Of course, the issue has come in handy for KCR to silence the opposition voices in the Assembly as he would have definitely been questioned over various issues that will put him in a spot of bother.
So, one the one hand, we have a Chief Minister whose daughter being a Member of Parliament with views inimical to the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
On the other hand, her father cites the disrespect to the national anthem as a reason to silence political opposition. What a strategy!
