After facing allegations of corruption as the 'education Minister', G Jagdish Reddy was removed from that portfolio and appointed as 'Energy Minister'.
Here too, the situation is no different. Following numerous complaints of corruption, KCR has now taken over the ‘energy portfolio’.
Jagdish will in all likelihood be assigned another Ministry.
The point is that there is no system which says that corruption is acceptable in some Ministries whereas other Ministries are too important to be tampered with. Corruption is corruption. Period!
If a Minister if found to be corrupt or facing serious allegations as in the present instance, then he should be sacked.
Why this transfer system? Why should he continue to enjoy the confidence of the CM at the taxpayer's expense?
