Ideally, the police department is meant to be that wing which must command respect and trust from the common man. But in India, people are more scared of the police than criminals.
The reason for this is the deep rooted corruption and the brash way of many cops. Of course, there are always exceptions.
But from the police point of view, they have their own restrictions and pressures due to which they cannot discharge their duties.
However, it is heard that cops of Andhra Pradesh are sharpening their knives and want to show their toughest and honest form. And they have only two months to do that.
This is because the President’s Rule has been imposed in Andhra Pradesh and police is in full power. All this time they were suppressed by politicians and those who had political influence but now few sources from police department reveal certain tasks that they wanted to do without the interference of politicians, now is their chance.
