Polavaram Wakes Up T-Cong Leaders!

The ordinance issued by the President merging eight Telangana mandals falling under Polavaram project with Seemandhra seems to have woken up the Telangana Congress leaders from deep slumber.

The issue has come as a relief to the Telangana Congress leaders who had been lying low for quite some time without raising their voice, in the wake of their drubbing in the recent elections. Despite knowing that the decision to merge the mandals with Seemandhra was taken by the previous UPA government, they have decided to make it an issue to get back into people and boost up their image.

Senior Congress leader and former minister K Jana Reddy opposed approval of Polavaram Ordinance by President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee. Talking to the  media persons here along with former minister T Jeevan Reddy, Jana Reddy criticized that the decision was  taken in a  haste. The Centre should not have taken such a decision in a hurry, he commented.

“It seems that the Centre is giving priority to Seemandhra people rather than finding an amicable solution, Reddy said. He also stated that the people of Telangana are of the opinion that the Centre is showing partisan attitude towards them by making undue favors to the Seemandhra region,” he said.
