Niranjan Srungavarapu, the recently elected President of TANA, along with his family members and team, experienced deep insult and distress when pepper spray was unexpectedly sprayed at them.
Surprisingly, the security personnel responsible for this action acted upon the orders of certain key event organizers.
It is evident that the security personnel were unaware of the identities of the individuals involved in the event and simply followed the instructions given by the main organizers.
Mistakenly considering Niranjan and his team as troublemakers approaching the stage with the intention to cause disturbance, the security intervened and took necessary action.
Despite Niranjan and his team's attempts to explain their purpose of taking an oath on the stage and resisting the security's actions, the security personnel resorted to using pepper spray.
Sources say that the present leadership which is not seconding the election of Niranjan resorted to this heinous action much to the disgrace of entire Telugu community in the United States.
Along with Niranjan, his family members including children were shocked and wept in pain after the pepper spray was sprayed as per the sources.
Such behavior exhibited within TANA is highly unacceptable and raises concerns. It is indeed atrocious that members of the organization would act in this manner.
In response to this incident, a guest family decided to leave the event out of fear of further attacks and conflicts.
They expressed their disappointment, stating, "Despite the fact that the present leadership and the newly elected members belong to the same community, they engage in such fights that culminate in the use of pepper spray. If, by some unlikely chance, a member from another community were to be elected, they might even resort to shooting and killing him on the spot. The TANA event lacks the essence of culture and language, as it is overshadowed by the influence of caste fanatics, excessive use of slogans like 'Jai Balayya' for no apparent reason, and vulgar language and street fights".
