Governments which constantly cry about lack of funds end up spending crores on politicians, most of whom are usually very rich. And those in high positions are known to siphon public funds through various loopholes in bureaucracy.
Recently, Karnataka government spent a whopping Rs 1.16 crore for the treatment of Minister of Housing and well-known film star Ambareesh.
The government reimbursed the money that he spent for his treatment in Singapore some time back.
Ironically, governments which always complain about lack of resources find money to reimburse the who’s who in public sphere.
If one looks at it, Ambareesh is well to do and has no dearth of money. Just because he is a minister does not mean he should be reimbursed the entire amount.
Since ill health is his personal problem, where do people figure in the picture?
