People Losing Hope On Samaikyandhra!

Stating that the Seemandhra leaders were under the illusion all these days that the division of the State will not take place, Minister for Endowments C Ramachandraiah said that still their demand was to keep the State united.

He, however, demanded the Centre to announce special package to the Rayalaseema development, in case the division of the State was inevitable.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Ramachandraiah said that the people were mounting pressure on them to demand special package for the region as the people were now losing confidence that the State would continue as united.

He said that he sent a special report to the Group of Ministers (GoM) appointed by the centre to look into the division of the State, asking the Centre to grant special package to the development of Rayalaseema region.

He said that the Rayalaseema farmers will incur huge losses if the Centre failed to ensure Constitutional security in regard to water allocation.

He said that he asked the centre to establish a steel factory in Kadapa district and knowledge centre in Ananthapur district, in his report.
