Hyderabad: As the deadly swine flu menace keeps growing by the day with the number of cases increasing by the day, private hospitals in the city have once again proved themselves guilty of negligence on par with government hospitals.
People who get admitted in the outpatient wards of the private hospitals are not submitting their complete personal details like mobile number; address etc. The hospital authorities are also not insisting on the same so long as the payment is made.
The blood samples of patients admitted in such a manner have tested positive for swine flu.
When the news was communicated to the patients, a couple of them left the premises and are untraceable.
The district health authorities are obviously livid as swine flu is a highly contagious disease and these people can put others apart from their kith and kin in danger as well. But ultimately, an inept handling of the crisis by the administration is at fault.
Despite front page articles on swine flu threatening to turn into an epidemic again, there is precious little the government seems to have done to safeguard the public and contain the virus.
Knowing KCR, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he were to put the blame for this also on ‘Andhra Rule’.
