All the media attention and Pawan Kalyan’s short, but intriguing press release are reminiscent of scenes straight out of a Ram Gopal Varma film.
The media is full of stories claming that Pawan Kalyan will be floating his new party.
There are some who feel he might join a political party to contest forthcoming elections or fight it out as an independent candidate.
For the past three days, public are being bombarded with various media reports about Pawan’s foray into politics.
Spicing up the events was the press release issued by Pawan’s office which did not give away much but managed to generate enough curiosity among people by subtly hinting that Pawan was keen to make an important announcement.
However, his close aides too are not very confident of Pawan floating his own party. For starters, his brother mega star Chiranjeevi started a party which turned out to be a huge flop show. So, they feel he will not take it upon himself to float a party.
Also, with elections round the corner, he does not have sufficient time to do the necessary ground work to launch a party, feel political analysts.
The other alternative for him is to contest on some party ticket. While some say that he might contest from Malkajgiri in Telangana, others say he might contest from Machilipatnam in Andhra.
But since Telangana has become a reality, Pawan is bound to face problems if he chooses to contest from the region as his brother Chiranjeevi has been against bifurcation all along.
In fact, Chiranjeevi proposed to make Hyderabad, which is a part of Telangana, a UT. He had also been the torchbearer for the Samaikyandhra cause. So, it is highly unlikely that Pawan Kalyan will be voted to power in Telangana as the people may not be able to trust him.
Well, the suspense is likely to continue till Pawan chooses to break his silence.
