Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who often claims that he is beyond the measures of caste, creed and religion, appears to have been caught in the web of caste politics.
This was evident from the way various caste based organisations like Boya Sena, Madiga Sena, Balija Sena and BC Sena have put up posters across Anantapur in support of Pawan Kalyan, who would be addressing a rally on November 11.
Apparently, the Jana Sena Party leaders have sought the support of these caste-based outfits for Pawan’s public meeting, stating that he is going to take active part in politics in the coming days.
Since Anantapur has a sizeable percentage of Balijas and Kapus, their support will definitely be a big boost to Pawan. Superficially, he might say he was above caste politics, but he has apparently realised that he cannot ignore the caste-based organisations, if he has to succeed in politics.
By the way, If Pawan can attract these castes, it would weaken the Kapu movement launched by Mudragada and it would ultimately benefit the Telugu Desam Party, say sources.
