Politics is not new to film industry. Once again, quite a few industry insiders are getting ready to test their luck in politics.
The latest to join this bandwagon is actor Vishal. It is being said that he will join the Aam Aadmi Party which has swept the poll results in Delhi.
Rumours are rife in Kollywood that the Tamil Nadu wing of the Aam Aadmi Party will be handled by him.
When Anna Hazare took up his campaign against corrupt politicians, many film actors came forward to support him and voice their opinions. Vishal was one of them. Recently, he was also quite vocal about the activities of the actors’ association in Tamil Nadu. Already, AAP is gaining ground in Tamil Nadu.
It is being said that the party too is keen on including Vishal in their party. So, in all probability, he might get to head the party in Tamil Nadu.
However, Vishal hasn’t made any comments on the issue till now. News is also out that Vijay too is contemplating to join the party.
The Aam Aadmi Party is attracting youth all over India for its stance against corruption. It has managed to get a strong hold and governance in Delhi within a short time.
The party is already getting ready to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. So, the party is planning to contest normal people along with film personalities. The focus is including film actors who have good understanding of people’s issues.
Given its show in Delhi, many are enthusiastic to join the party. And in our state, it is being said that the party wants Pawan Kalyan to join their ranks.
In fact, it is being said that Pawan Kalyan has already met up with the top leaders of AAP. After his brother merged Praja Rajyam with the Congress, Pawan has been away from politics.
There has been a rumour that Pawan has been looking to start a new party after the debacle of Praja Rajyam. Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma has already tweeted that Pawan should float his own party.
Pawan fans too have been active on social networking sites expressing their opinions on the subject.
Many feel that if Pawan heads AAP, it will reap good results. So it remains to be seen if Pawan and Vishal will sweep public opinion with the party mascot brooms. We will have to wait and watch!
