It looks like power star Pawan Kalyan's main objective of taking a plunge into active politics is only to counter YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, rather than the ruling Telugu Desam Party or its ally Bharatiya Janata Party.
It is evident from the way Pawan is planning his programmes exactly in tune with that of Jagan. He is exactly following the same route travelled by Jagan.
If the YSR Congress party president decides to go to West Godavari to call on the farmers affected by mega aqua food park, Pawan has done it to grab the advantage. If Jagan addresses a public meeting in Rayalaseema, Pawan also has done it.
The latest strategy is that Pawan is also planning to hold meetings with youth of various engineering colleges and universities, close on the heels of Jagan’s Yuva Bheri programme to educate the youth about the special category status.
It is learnt after holding the public meeting at Anantapur on November 11, Pawan wants to interact with the local engineering college students.
In the coming days, too, Pawan is likely to hold a series of meetings with youth and college students to mobilise their support. Since he is also a film star, he enjoys a lot of craze among the youth and therefore, he feels he has advantage over Jagan.
Who knows, if Jagan plans his padayatra in the coming days, Pawan may also take up the same in advance to deny the political advantage to the latter!
