All said and done, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu remains a tough taskmaster.
Even at the age of 75, he displays remarkable energy and patience, conducting official meetings and reviewing every subject in detail.
The way Naidu has been presiding over meetings with district collectors and superintendents of police at the state secretariat over the past two days serves as a lesson for aspiring politicians — particularly Pawan Kalyan, who hopes to become chief minister someday.
Naidu has been sitting through these meetings for eight to ten hours, meticulously discussing each issue, taking feedback from officials, responding on the spot, and issuing immediate directives.
Surprisingly, Pawan Kalyan, despite being the Deputy Chief Minister, has skipped the collectors’ conference altogether.
According to Jana Sena Party leaders, he is reportedly resting due to back pain and other health concerns.
In the past, Pawan Kalyan had publicly expressed amazement at Naidu’s ability to sit through long cabinet meetings. However, such endurance and commitment are essential traits for any serious administrator.
Political analysts suggest that Pawan Kalyan should make it a point to regularly attend such meetings to gain firsthand insight into grassroots-level issues raised by collectors and SPs.
“But it appears that Pawan Kalyan lacks the patience for long, detailed administrative sessions. If he continues this approach, how can he become an effective administrator in the future? He has much to learn from Naidu in this regard,” an analyst observed.
