Palnadu YSRCP MLC to Join TDP?

Palnadu YSRCP MLC to Join TDP?

Reports suggest that a YSRCP MLC from Palnadu district is set to join the TDP, with discussions already completed.

Narasaraopet MP Lavu Srikrishna Devaraya has reportedly taken the initiative, though an MLA from the Lavu community is opposing the move in his constituency.

There are allegations of excessive exploitation surrounding this senior TDP leader and former minister in Palnadu.

A controversy also erupted when he allegedly made some police officers attend his wife's birthday celebration, creating a stir.

Amid growing opposition to this leader, the MP is strategizing to bring the YSRCP MLC, who belongs to their community, into the TDP fold.

During the 2019 elections, YS Jagan had promised the senior leader an MLC post and a ministerial position. However, reports indicate that the leader worked against the YSRCP’s woman candidate, resulting in him being restricted to just the MLC position.

Frustrated at missing out on a ministerial berth, he now plans to switch to TDP, encouraging YSRCP workers to follow him.

However, the party cadre is reportedly hesitant. His formal induction into the TDP, initially scheduled for February 8, was postponed, with fresh discussions currently underway.
