Opposition has been mounting to the proposed temporary camp office of Chandrababu Naidu in Guntur.
Rumors have been doing the rounds that Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur would be converted into Naidu’s camp office in Seemandhra.
But this is being met with vehement opposition by the faculty and staff of Nagarjuna University who have threatened to go an agitation at any such proposed move.
They do not want the pure academic environment of the campus to be polluted by politicians.
While there is no official confirmation on the proposed move from Naidu’s office, those in the know say that it is a ploy and rumor being spread by realtors to reap the windfall benefits.
Reportedly, a venture which had absolutely no takers near ANU was sold out like hot cakes within days of the rumor being circulated. 50 flats were booked in two days alone.
Naidu is in the Z plus category and security officers are yet to visit the university for a feasibility study. The situation would become clearer after the Mahanadu of TDP at Gandipet in Hyderabad on May 27 and 28.
