Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Wednesday condemned the statement of former minister J C Diwakar Reddy against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Vivekananda Reddy said that it was compulsory for all party workers to respect the decision taken by the party although they could express their resentment in an appropriate way.
He said that the approach adopted by JC against the High Command was incorrect. He ridiculed the statements of JC that the Congress party would be buried in the State.
He said the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh could be stopped if all leaders from the Seemandhra region launch a joint struggle.
He also strongly felt that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy would not leave Congress and float a new party.
Vivekananda Reddy said there was no need for AICC leader Digvijay Singh to cajole anybody and legislators can meet him freely and explain about their predicament.
