KCR has announced that his government would be issuing separate identity cards (T-Identity card) to all residents in the State, specifically to all those who participated in the survey.
This is against the very spirit of the Constitution which seeks to look upon all Indians as one.
KCR says that this identity card will be a one stop solution to all needs of the residents.
The question is, why do the people of the State need a separate identity? Is it not enough that they are Indians and is not a nativity certificate sufficient for jobs in the local administration?
Whereas something like the Aadhar card seeks to unify all Indians irrespective of their location, the T-card ironically and in tune with KCR's policies seeks to segregate Telanganites from the rest of the nation.
Unfortunately, it is only the people of Telangana who can rise against these pernicious decisions.
While KCR having made hay while the sun shone will probably retire into a drinking oblivion, his decisions will have a telling effect on the current and future generations of Telangana!
