Only Two TDP Workers In KCR Constituency!

Only Two TDP Workers In KCR Constituency!

It is now more or less a known fact that the Telugu Desam Party has any future in the Telangana and it has been acknowledged as an Andhra Party. Yet, party president N Chandrababu Naidu is making desperate attempts to infuse life into the party in Telangana, so that it can survive at least on paper.

But there are hardly any takers for the TDP in Telangana. It is evident from the way only two workers have enrolled for the Telugu Desam Party in the Gajwel assembly constituency, represented by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, during the just concluded membership drive of the TDP.

In the last membership drive held in this constituency two years ago, as many as 18,000 workers enrolled as members of the TDP. It clearly shows the party has been completely wiped out in KCR kingdom!

The situation is no different even in Greater Hyderabad, which was once the stronghold of the TDP with lakhs of members. The response to the membership drive is very poor in Hyderabad.

For example, not even 2,000 members were enrolled in the TDP in Serilingampalli constituency dominated by Seemandhra people this year, as against 20,000 members in the last drive.

Apparently, the TDP leadership has set a target of eight lakh members in Telangana. But going by the response, even one-tenth of the target also is not possible to achieve, though the deadline for the completion of the drive was extended by 15 days.
