One may think Telangana Rashtra Samithi is confined only to Telangana, but only it has the capacity to do justice to the people of Andhra Pradesh and not the typical Andhra-based parties.
This surprising claim was made by Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday.
“If at all there is any party which has benefitted Andhra Pradesh, it is TRS. Though the TRS was formed with the sole objective of forming the statehood to Telangana, it has indirectly benefitted AP in many ways. It was only because of the Telangana formation, that people of AP are now able to witness the formation of several higher educational institutions, ports, airports, industries and highways,” KTR pointed out.
He said the people of AP should be thankful to the TRS for getting such a huge financial package.
“Instead of acknowledging the TRS contribution to the development of Andhra Pradesh, why should Pawan Kalyan blame the Telangana leaders?” he asked.
KTR said he was pained at the statement of Pawan Kalyan that he had not taken food for 11 days after the bifurcation of the state.
“With his statement, he has very clearly proved that he is a typical Seemandhra leader and his party is confined only to that state. First of all, there is no unity among the political parties in the state with regard to special category status to AP and there is no clarity among them as to what they want. For petty political gains, they are indulging in blame game, rather than fighting unitedly with the Centre to get the status. What is the point in blaming the TRS?” he asked.
