Only CM, No Deputy CM for Vijay

Only CM, No Deputy CM for Vijay

Pawan Kalyan became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh by agreeing to contest elections in alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

His Jana Sena Party (JSP), along with TDP and BJP, gained significant political advantage from this partnership.

With Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister and Pawan Kalyan as his deputy, the Jana Sena leader now holds considerable political influence in the state.

Inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s success, reports suggest that Tamil superstar Vijay might adopt a similar strategy in Tamil Nadu.

Speculation has arisen that Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), could form an alliance with AIADMK to challenge the ruling DMK government.

Some political analysts have even proposed that Vijay should accept the role of Deputy Chief Minister, allowing AIADMK’s Edappadi K. Palaniswami to be the CM candidate in an effort to defeat DMK.

However, political strategist Prashant Kishor has clarified that TVK intends to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections independently, without aligning with AIADMK.
